HOLIDAYS AND FINAL TERM RESULT

Hi...

I know its quite a long time since my last posting... Well... many things happen...lets recap...

For a start, starting from 12th June 2011, me and siblings are now officially on holiday n finish a full year schooling in Saudi...We don't know whether we'll continue to be here for next year school term or not...Its all up to to ayah's job. According to ayah and mommy, wherever we are, whether here or back to Malaysia, the most important thing for us is to study and get a good result.

- we went to Red Sea Mall and participated in the new kinect xbox, and a detergent promotions. We got a mug each for each game we participated.

Next, on 13th mom went back to Malaysia and to Jakarta for her research. For about 10 days, we stayed with ayah. Me and along, we divided works together. I do the laundary jobs while along clean the house and rubbish. Me and along, we took care of adik and nana together while ayah went to the office.

And... come 19th June 2011, IT's result day...We went to school with ayah...
Guess how was my results????

Alhamdulillah I got all 13 A+...
and is now SAR 260 richer than before.... Why???? is because ayah n mom gave us (along, nana and myself) SAR20 fora 1 A+, SAR10 for each A...


emphhh..... since its now holiday and its Summer... I have a busy daily routine including of FBying,skateboarding - (Along n myself bought the skateboard using our own money before the exam... We only been allowed to touch and open the boxes after the final exam....), swimming, reading books mom bought from Malaysia - (i'm collecting my favorites author Roald Dahn books, TIMES KIDS, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHY KIDS and few others), doing my 5 pages a day of Malaysian school excersice book of Science, Maths, English and Malay Language), doing house job -... (its important because I'll get SAR 10 perweek for my laudrying job, SAR10 for cleaning Qistina's stuff once in a while... and "jalanjalan"...

final exams...

hallo.

we are in the middle of final exam...so no body are allowed to go playing outside the house... we are on curfew for 2 weeks..... hmmmpphhhh....

Exam here is a bit different from Malaysia. Here i'm like a university student... because -
its a must to bring exam ID card. Those who forget to bring their ID card are disallowed from sitting for exam.

Then on Thursday and Friday will be public holiday. Next week we will have -

Saturday - Math
Sunday - Islam , English comprehension and spelling
Monday - General Knowledge
Tuesday - Computer
Wednesday - General Knowledge and Saudi Arabian History

and then .....HORRAY ... the school is close for this year...

opppsssss..... the result will be announce on the 29th June 2010 at 11am....

and then .... HOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRAAAAYYYYYYYY....

my shortest HOLIDAY break back to Malaysia

Hi...

its a long time I haven't update my blog.... Many things happen... I'll start update my life event for the last 1 month...

As many knew, my maternal mygrandmother whom I called mak came to visit us on February.. She stayed here for 2 months...
We took mak to Mecca, Madinah and tour around Jeddah... Ayah n mommy actually planned to take mak to Taif and a few other places. Unfortunately mak visa expired and she have to go back to Malaysia...But mak did alot of shopping....

Since mak timing to go back to Malaysia coincidenly same as our school break, so we begged ayah and mommy to take us back home. Mommy was due to meet her supervisor and she was to attend a day conference in Singapore... and both if them (mommy and ayah) had to settle the income tax which was due by end of April...

Then, we had this dilemma, that I was supposed to perfomed in a poetry reciting competition on the first Monday school resume...Mom was planning to be in Malaysia for more than a week... So... how? should i forgo the competition? or should I stayed with aunty Aza's family whilst other go back to Malaysia?


And here was the solution- Ayah and mommy decided that we took the Monday flight back to Malaysia together with mak. The flight was full but uncle Fauzi said insyaallah there are placed for us... and since our ticket is for waiting lists we were the last to checked in...

We arrived in Malaysia on Tuesday morning....
around 2pm maklang picked me and nana from our house in Enstek to her house in Bangi. Ayah and mommy will send along, adik, mak and Hafiz to Bangi later. Mak lang brought along her research assistance to sent mommy to makcik's house in Seremban to take mak's car...

Tuesday night-
we slept at mak lang house... Mommy and ayah will take a flight to Singapore on Wednesday. Mommy was attending a conference related to her research in National university of singapore..

Wednesday -
We played all day at maklang's house... To honor our home coming, Hafiz "ponteng" or absenced from school...

Thursday -
We were at mak lang's house... Ayah and mommy were finalising their banking and income tax matter...

Friday -
In the afternoon, mak teh sent us back to Enstek..

Saturday noon -

Mommy sent ayah, along and myself to the airport. We departed to Jeddah in the 3pm flight and arrived Jeddah at the same day...we brought along all baggage because mommy will only need to managed adik and Qistina without bothering the luggage...

Today is the first day school after break. It means that along and myself did not attend today's school.

Sunday - Wednesday
We were attending school... Ayah made us choose food to be put in our luch boxes. The choices of variety of Gardenia bunses and bisuits will fill our luch boxes for these week...
For lunch we ate at aunty Aza's house and we seldom took dinner... Ayah will fix something if we were hungry..

Monday was supposed the poetry reciting competition day. Unfortunately it was postponed to another date...

Thursday & Friday -
Weekend... We went to Red Sea. I bought a green shirt for along and myself to wear for Earth Day celebration..

Saturday
School as usual..
Then, we went to the airport to picked mommy, adik and nana from Malaysia... and to sent ayah back to Malaysia. Ayah is attending a courses..It means that ayah is departing in the same flight that mommy fly from Malaysia...

Hmphhh... what a hatic week ...right???

revision week

aloha....


the 2010/2011 academic year is coming to the end... we are now on our revision week. I started my mind maping notes last 2 weeks and mom helped me tidying it this week...

below are some of my mind maping and notes-

i had finished my french and alquran exam... there are 9 more subjects to go...

in the eve of the exams, ayah n mommy organised a tahlil, yassin and solat hajat among all MAS families in Azam Compound... It was held at our house. Uncle Din lead the event and the all aunties cook a nice, delicious foods...

So, families, frens and teacher... wish me a very good luck for my upcoming exams....

Halloooo.........

Don't be surprise.... school is closed ... AGAIN???
yup.......... We had finish our mid semester test and are now on our spring break ...

and we have no plan for the break...

last wednesday the whole of MH Engineering in Arabian Camp of Azzam Compound went for a Arab style picnic at Ar Rahmah Mosque, (famously known as masjid terapung amongst Malaysian)...

thursday till today I finished my spring break homework and continue doing Malaysian book exercise...

exams...n results.......

These are why we were so...busy for the past 2/3 weeks...
We're having mid-sem test... and alhamdulillah I got full
marks (15/15) for almost all subjects and 14/15 for 4 others subject....
Actually i was competing with along and nana - because ayah and mommy offer us a guitar for those who get the highest mark and a yamaha ipod doc/speaker for second, and philips ipod doc/speaker for the third...

Me and along - our marks were very competing. Unfortunately along did not do well in his literacy subject and alquran......On the other hand, Nana haven't finish her test. She was absent yesterday because she was not well. But she got her present already...


Lastly... guess what adik got?

We are back to school

Dear all,

Due to an unpredictable weather, the school was closed on Wednesday. Thursday and friday are public holiday. And yesterday - was declared as public holiday...
After a very looooooooooooong weekend were now back to school...

QISTINA'S BIRTHDAY

HALLOOO....

Yesterday Nana turn to 5 years old. She woke up around 9am and we sang a birthday song. Mommy cooked nasi lemak for breakfast and actually we don't planned any celebration...

At 10.30 ayah suggested we invite our neighbors to lunch at our house.
With a short noticed, Me and along cycled to the supermarket and managed to secured 2 whole chicken. We have one more whole chicken in the fridge.

So, mommy cooked the simplest meal - nasi ayam...and mak helped mommy to prepared the dessert - sweet corn custard pudding with cocktail.

we don't have any birthday cake because nana promised her friends and teacher to celebrate her birthday at school...

After friday prayer - around 2pm - our neighbors arrived...aunty ann and family, uncle shazaly and family, aunty yumi and family, aunty aza and family and aunty sarimah and family... Only 2 adult male came - uncle shazaly and uncle mail. Others- uncle amal and eddy were at workplace.

around 4.30pm all the uncles stopped by at our house - coming back from work.
and around 5.30pm all 3 pots of nasi ayam "khalas"...

since this is unplanning meal, so we don't invite many people, we only invite families' stay here only......

BUT dont worry tommorrow we will have a BBQ dinner sponsored by uncle shazaly....

Today is Holiday

Due to the heavy sandstorm, the ministry of education instructed school to be closed today (wednesday)... It means we are having a loooooooong weekend....

MY LUNCH BOX

Along, Nana n Myself bring lunch boxes to school everyday -

we have 3 types of food - an entree, meal n dessert..

normally i eat entree on the bus on the way to school, meal during break hour at school and dessert on the bus going back home....

this are our entree and dessert - any 2 of these,,,

(all of tiffany products are delicious)

this is our meal and its different every day

(nasi lemak is only once a month)

this is our drinks

almarai chocolate or strawberry; ABC bear chocolate or strawberry and off late we like tiffany chocolate

plus zamzam water or vimto (like ribena) in this bottle

we bring all of this in variety choices of lunch boxes as below - all free and from Malaysia

and last but not least is our allowance -
SAR 3 coupon per day...
In our school we have to buy coupon from our supervisor or duty teacher before we can buy foods from the canteen. The 'dada" / aunty will only accept coupon. So every day mommy will put SAR 3 coupon and will stay in the lunchbox until wednesday (incase we don't use it). Every wednesday we will calculate how much cash we get in change of the unuse coupon. The more we don't spend our coupon, the more cash money we get.. and that is our saving... But unfortunately right now, i dont have much money because i still owed mommy sar 100 from the ipod...

sandstorm and raining welcoming a summer

Assalammualaikum....

Since yesterday we are facing a strong sandstorm. Me, along and Nana tot that it was raining...but no... there was no rain yesterday....

this morning we tot that we don't have to go to school. The wind was very strong and it make a loud sound like what we heard when we was in Taif....But mommy said since there was no sms from school so....dash.... off we go to school.

Our lunch box today are full with a tupperware of nasi goreng cina with tiffany Chocolate (the best chocolate in town - i'll tell you about it later) and tiffany butter cookies package ( d best butter cookies in town), a small box of tiffany chocolate drink and SAR 3 coupon (as our daily allowances)...

at 11am....after our break... the school is forced to closed as per the instruction of the ministry of education - due to heavy sandstorm...

at 12.30pm we reached home... We were supposed to arrived home early..however, halfway of the journey, Arif suddenly told uncle Ahmad that his sister Batrisya was not in the bus. She was left behind at school. When he said "khalas" to uncle Ahmad earlier, he forgot to look after her sister. So we had to turn back to school to fetch his sister.

now, it 5.30pm... its raining and the power/electricity is back to normal. for the first time ever our life in KSA, the power supply in the compound failed due to heavy storm...we were in dark for about 2 hours n me, along together with mommy sat on our dining table beside the window doing our notes for the exams - with the help of light from outside...

My I Pod Touch...

The is one of my millions dreams... IPod Touch...
I know I already got Samsung MP4... But it was different. IPod is sooooo cool...
I envied nana when Mommy say "YES" to nana's wishes for Ipod touch for her coming birthday- this March. It was unfair... I got Samsung MP4 and Nana got Ipod...uh...uh...uh...

But Mommy explain to us that Qistina can have IPod Touch because she haven't got any birthday present for her last year and year before that birthday......So I guess it is okay...NO problem I can buy it myself....

Ayah told along n my self that if we want IPod Touch we have to use our own money...
Well ....right until last week I have SAR 341 cash with me - all of it was my pocket many I saved...I know I have extra money - monies i collected here in Jed.. such as SAR 300 as an allowances for walking from Mina to Makkah... - that was taxi rate from makkah to Azizziyah, (along n I opted to walked rather than riding the taxi. and ayah agreed to give us walking allowances)

But according to mommy that was untouchable money...
So its okay... i just have to get buyer for my Samsung MP4 and save some more daily allowances...I do extra job - ie supervising Nana's home work and mommy give me SAR10 permonth as allowance for that simple job...

On 8th february - ayah took us to Tahlia Street... We went to Mobily - to check for iphone4... shope next to mobily was Izone. so we went there just to survey for the ipod.. there were so many people who came to the shop n bought ipod.. the price was cheaper than other places... so ayah said- we can buy for Nana... but... i also want. As for along - he said, he wait till he can got buyer for his mp3 and laptop..

i asked mommy for loan. mommy ask me to ask ayah.. Ayah said " he can give me loan..." and YES..... I got my ipod..

There were only 3 units left. We took 2 units and another Arab took the last unit.. Suddenly, along was crying...
He was afraid that there will be no more ipod available...But he dont want to buy because he dont have enough money...
Suddenly - the arab - the one who took the last unit was more interested in iphone4...
So ayah asked mommy whether mommy can give along some loan.....and.....that night along also got his ipod...

through out the week i asked ayah for more discount... but ayah said NO...
Suddenly, when along n myself got our exam papers - ayah told us that he might think about giving us some discount... and based on our results......I only have to pay SAR 444 - half of the price of the ipod.. and along had to pay 55% of the price... So I owe mommy another SAR 103 and along owed mommy another SAR 140...yahooooooooooo....

since i haven't update my blog entry for quite some time - i will now share with you my story life during the time i was absence from the blog..

1-11 February 2010
My sibling and I spend most of our times at home... playing very hard... Only Kakak Aina, Kakak Syaira, abg Afiq n abg Jay were around. Others went back to Malaysia.
We went for outing riding the compound bus, swimming with uncle Zainuldin, playing bicycle, fbing and reciting quran at aunty yumi's house...and me and along had appointment with dentist...

It was unbelievable... soo....expensive.... that day ayah spend SAR 1000 for our dental expenses...- to get consultation from the doctor, ayah had to pay sar100. after that - we have to get our x-tray...WOW!!!! the x-tray machine was very impressive...you stand before the machine. put your chin on the plate, open your mouth and the camera rolls around you... and it cause ayah SAR 400... then we have to see the doctor again to get the results..and on that day,
Along's right molar had to be taken out since the permanent molar already grew below it...

As for myself, doctor will do the scaling on my next appointment date and later the filling and lastly root canal for 8 premolar and molar.

In between we have visitor from Egypt. Uncle Rahman and his wife... they were among thousands of malaysian been rescue and temporarily placed at hujjaj- tabung haji building in Jeddah.

We also visit abang Jijan, at hujaj.. Abg Jijan's ummi used to baby sitting us when we stayed in Bangi...
All of them had safely arrived back Malaysia..

my result...

hello....

i know it has been a long time since my last entry.... i'm sorry... really sorry... i'm busy with a lots of thing...and i'll update you all with my previous activity after this...

I have something to tell you...I'm very happy today... AND...
I want to share with all of you out there ...
It's about MY RESULT. My exam result.
FIY, the school had announced our result on 29th February 2010...So... basically i know my marks... But today we officially received our result certificate...

i'm soooo happy...I got 11A+, 1A and 1B...I'm no.2 in my class...
even thought I got B for Arts... but mommy said "it's okay but it will be nicer if I can get A for Art.."

And the best part was - even though I didn't get 100% for all subjects - which mean that i'm not entitle to claim the DSLR camera which ayah and mommy offered to us (along and myself) if we managed to get 100% to all subject... BUT ayah was so kind to sponsor half of price of the Ipod I bought last 2 weeks...... it means that i only paid SAR 444 for my IPOD....
May be this semester I'll work harder to get the DSLR...

Mean while, in the next post i'll update you my activity for the period i was absent from my blog...

schools are force to closed

hallo....

oh no....no..... i want to go to school... i want to sit for the exam... and i want to enjoy the holiday after the exam...
but now the ministry ordered all school to be closed for 2 weeks (yeahhhh....) and the exam to be reschedule after the break (arghhhh...)...
arghhhh..... how am i going to enjoy my holidays... definitely mom and ayah will asked us to continue do our revision...

oppsss... i forget to mention that ayah now join force with mom to teaches along and myself.... and they have Rotan!!!!! (my friends in other houses like uncle zainuldin, uncle eddy and uncle amal also have rotan)

we are now to make 5 times correction for any mistakes and double the corrections for any mistakes in the correction...
enough about it....

i'll tell you about my examination-

here exams are divided into few stages -
we had our lab practical exam for science and computer last 2 weeks;
we had oral exam for english, quran and arabic (last 2 weeks);
we had our practical exams for the arts subject; and
we are in the middle of 2 weeks writing exams for all subjects - english literacy, grammar, writing, spelling and comprehension, french, arabic, maths, science, islam, social studies, general knowledge, computer and saudi culture and history.

the school hours during exams weeks are shorter... it's is between 8-10:30am... the moment you finish your exam, you can go home. mom said its like a university student...

and Allah knows best. luckily we went back at 10.30am.or else we will be stuck in the traffic as last wednesday happened to be the saudi's worst flood tragedy ever..our school is located in bani Faishal district, in the town of Jeddah...

for the past weeks, we were often back early because of rains...(early means around 10.30-11am)... normally my fellow friends who commutes everyday from makkah to alwadi will be sent off earlier as they have a long journey back home...
at the same time, the school called our parents to fetch us...
and whenever its raining, the classes will become noisier with girls crying - afraid of rains...

Nowadays, Uncle Ahmad (our driver) will stayed around the school just in case its rains and we have to leave school earlier..

last wednesday -
the hotel which placed other MAS staff were flooded and black up...
the city was closed by police....
they are person die and many are still missing...
there are house damaged....
the telephone line all over Saudi collapsed
the internet line were also broken...
many flights including MH flight were delayed for 1 day as the pilot cannot go to the airport....(i was thinking why they must be placed at a far away placed from the airport????)

alhamdulillah... there was only little rain at our house...and..luckily our house is situated far away from town...

and on friday night, due to the effect after the tragedy, the ministry of education announced that all school to be closed on saturday -
we're supposed to sit for maths exam today... it's reschedule to wednesday;

and late last night again the saudi ministry of education make another announcement that the school is now ordered to closed for to weeks until 12th february 2010...all exams are to be reschedule after the break...and ...we are now closing our revision book and enjoying our holidays (until ayah and mommy ordered us to sit and study again) !!!!!

fun...fun... n lots of fun...

hi...happy schooling to all Malaysian students in Malaysia.It's a new term and a new beginning..Differ from what we have here, in Saudi the school begins in September and ends in July. so while you guys are enjoying you holidays, we are at school..

and i would like to share with you all that started from last Monday we are riding a new coaster to school.... yeppi... it's more comfortable and bigger than the previous van...

that's is the adding factors as what i've mention in my earlier post, why life in Saudi is full with fun and colorful...

well... to to recall my life this week: the weather was and is still windy... there are few times ayah got sms from school informing that he have to arrange for an earlier pickup because the school is on caution - they are worried when the rain starts n there are a high possibility of flood..- i guess now is a good time to visit Taif if we want to have snow...

last thursday we have lunch at aunty Aza's house with kak Husna's family... they cooked alots of dishes... mommy cooked rice, BBQ chicken and sambal sotong. - i believe Kakak Husna n mom are now safely arrived home... am looking forward for your family next visit - will it be in September ?

On Sunday night we went to Red Sea Mall with Kakak Aina's family...nothing much to buy. we bought bread n biscuit for school.

on Saturday and Sunday - live is peaceful... i went to school, back, did my homework, read quran at aunty Yumi's house, play, collect our clothes from aunty Ann's house (our dryer - the took for service, n the backyard was still dirty from previous flood n there is no place to hang the clothes, so we have to borrow aunty's ann dryer. Luckily yesterday we get back our dryer..).. and .... memorised my three surah for my final exam..
here - the quran subject is the memorising subject. everybody have to recite n remember the surah according to the grade..i'm now reciting al-ghasyiah, al balad and al a'ala...

on Monday night we have bbq at the poolside..we have ikan bakar, nasi lemak, ayam goreng rempah, cucur udang, keropok, karipap, karamel, jelly, fruits n lots of cakes ... n its... sooooo delicious - we have blackforest cake, fruits cocktail cake n... icecream cake...- two were shared : for adik, along, nana n myself - our belated birthday cake (except for nana the advanced birthday cake) n another cake was for uncle zainuldin's birthday... as if we are at Umbai, Melaka..we ate... we played and we swam. BUT the water was soooo.....coooollllled....
we finish the makan2 early... around 9:30pm-10pm everybody with schooling children and ayah sent along, nana n adik home. I managed to sneak out and joint the other kids playing snooker and went to the gym...mommy sent me home at 10:30pm. The funniest thing was, uncle mail locked our house door n gave ayah the house key. when mommy sent me home, we cannot got inside the house because the key was with ayah. Luckily, along heard mommy knocking his room window.. he woke up, unlocked the door and took the key and slept. And mommy cannot lock the door because along took the key with him...

Lastly, my dearest friend Kakak Raihana n her family are going back to Malaysia today, we don't have much time together...because this time her family stayed in alhyatt...i/allah we'll meet again when you next come to Jeddah or under a new tag of "permanent" ??? either way - we always welcome you...
So to kakak raihana, shahir, abg aril n abang... have safe journey home n happy schooling..
